The upcoming project of filmmaker-producer
Siddharth Anand and actor Saif Ali Khan is titled Jewel Thief - The Red Sun
Chapter. Anand is producing the film with wife, Mamta Anand under their banner
Marfix Pictures and also stars the talented Jaideep Ahlawat in a pivotal role.
Touted to be a heist drama, the film is
being directed by Robbie Grewal and reportedly centres around a gripping battle
between Saif Ali Khan's and Jaideep Ahlawat's characters. Currently, the cast
and crew, including Siddharth Anand, Mamta Anand, Saif Ali Khan, and Robbie
Grewal, are busy shooting in Budapest.
Announcing the title and the news of the
collaboration on his Instagram handle by uploading the post featuring him
alongside Khan with a caption: "Back on set with my first hero! How can
nothing change!" "Jewel Thief- The Red Sun Chapter" reunites
Anand and Khan after 17 years. The duo previously collaborated on "Salaam
Namaste" (2005) and '"Ta Ra Rum Pum" (2007). Anand's last
release was "Fighter", starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and
Anil Kapoor in the lead.
This project marks Robbie Grewal’s first
collaboration with Saif Ali Khan, although Saif and Siddharth have previously
worked together on two films. ‘Jewel Thief- The Red Sun Chapter’ is set to be a
direct-to-digital release, promising an edge-of-the-seat experience that will
be accessible to audiences worldwide.
