Sandesh Gour to make his Bollywood Debut with MeeRadha

After doing various characters in popular serials - right from Saraswati Chandra to Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi to CID to Savdhaan India and even doing the most popular show on SAB TV – Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma, Sandesh Gour from Orange city (now based in Mumbai) is all geared up for his Bollywood debut titled ‘MeeRadha’ which is all set to be released post Diwali this year.

Produced by Surya Prakash Jethlia and directed by Ashish Sinha the film is being made under the banner of SPJ entertainment production. "Shot in Bhilwara and set in the backdrop of Rajasthan, Meeradha is a youth oriented film with a social massage, which will influence the young generation in a positive way, I hope. I am playing the character of a young positive guy and it will trace my journey from a college guy to a matured responsible man, fulfilling his duties,” says Sandesh Gour who is playing the main protagonist in the film. 

MeeRadha will have two beautiful girls Suhani Jehtlia and Venus Jain debuting opposite Sandesh. Speaking about the film, he goes on to reveal that “the most amazing thing about this movie is that most of the actors are fresher’s and all of us have done our work with utmost sincerity and hard work. The characters represent today’s youth and their style of living, their life. His character is good by heart, yet naughty, and with big dreams; but he doesn't wanna work on it. He lives his life in jest and keeps flowing like the river. But, in the end, he realizes that he has to carve out a niche for himself and goes on to become a name to reckon.”

Sandesh went on to add, “Since this is my first big venture and my first Bollywood film, I am a bit nervous but also much excited about the project. Scheduled to hit the theatres post Diwali,the film is right now at the post production stage.”

Orange city has undoubtedly produced few gems in Bollywood and now it’s the turn of this lad and he hopes for the positive and high response from the critics. Though this is Sandesh’s Bollywood debut, prior to this, he has tried his hand in many things and has successfully collected numerous feathers under his cap. He has even worked down south in an important role in a Telugu film "Adavilo" as well as in a Chhatisgarhi film “Daai”, apart from serials. He was recently in the news as his short film ”Muafinaama” won two Best Film Awards which was shot entirely in Kashmir. The film is based on female child abandonment and he is playing a Kashmiri Pandit in it.

When asked how was the experience of shooting in Rajasthan in the summers of May, Sandesh quipped:  “It was a nice experience all together, except for the fact that we had to shoot in 45 degree temperature and that was quite a painful task. But considering my big dream coming true I was fine with it and was more engrossed with the beauty of the location. However, the best part was I visited Brahmaji’s temple in Pushkar, the Dargah of Sufi saint Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty’s at Ajmer, the scenic breathtaking locales of Udaipur and others. And I really loved the Rajasthani ‘Daal Bati Choorma’ and their colourful and soulful way of welcoming you ‘Padharo Mhare Des’. It was a real good experience.” 

Though he belongs to an upper middle class ultra sound family, nothing stops Sandesh for putting in his share of hardwork and or facing hardships that any actor struggles to get a toe hold in this industry. “But that in turn has made me self-dependent as well as strong,” adds Sandesh. Speaking about his future, Sandesh dreams to make it big in this industry. But his true calling he says is to be the face of realistic films and earn awards and accolades at international film festivals like Cannes and others. As the young lad gears up for his debut venture, we wish him all the success.

The night will bring together a truly Indian extravaganza of rock and sufi music for youngsters in the capital city to enjoy at the weekend. The members are inspired from Sufism and Rock music. The Vogue Beauty Awards is an evening where one doesn't quite know where to look - there's paparazzi getting their fill on one end, and a sophisticated somberly-lit photo booth on another, and video crews trailing the stars as they are gathering sips on marsala cocktails waiting for the winners to be announced.

But the show outside the show is equally important as the awards. Mika Singh: A man of his words

During the Blind Audition rounds of Endemol Shine India’s ultimate singing talent hunt ‘The Voice: India’, the coaches had wooed and bribed the contestants in various ways to persuade them to join their team. Sanjana Bhola, a 16 year old popular jagrata singer who performed "Chhap Tilak" was one such contestant that coaches Mika Singh, Sunidhi & Himesh wanted on their team.

All the coaches as is norm tried persuading her in many ways to get her to join their team, but Mika Singh was so impressed with Sanjana’s singing talent and voice quality that he announced then and there that his foundation Divine Touch would sponsor her education irrespective of which coach she selects or how far she goes in the competition. Though the young talent ultimately chose Himesh Reshammiya as her coach, the magnanimous Mika Singh kept his promise and his foundation handed over the letter of sponsorship to Sanjana. The young talented singer was pleasantly surprised and very touched by this kind gesture and sincerely thanked Mika Singh & his foundation.

Mika however is not the only coach that has kept a promise made during the blinds, Himesh Reshammiya too had promised a contestant Sachet Tandon that he would gift his golden shoes to him if he would join his team. Himesh later gifted his golden shoes to Sachet during the coaching session which he wore during the battle round. Vistaar And Conway join hands for ‘The Myth Of Hopelessness’

A psychological thriller based on actual events, the film follows the story of a young Parisian woman - Evie, who absconds to England to make a fresh start after surviving a harrowing upbringing.

Mika invites Kanika Kapoor the 'Baby Doll' singer to coach the contestants of The Voice: India

The talented singer Kanika Kapoor has already managed to make waves in Bollywood with her chart topping and foot thumping numbers, ‘Baby Doll’ and 'Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan’. The charming singer recently teamed up with Mika Singh to coach the contestants of The Voice: India, the music reality show produced by Endemol Shine India.

With the show now turning towards the 1st Battle Round phase, where the Coaches team up 2 contestants from their teams to compete for the next round. Coach Mika Singh invited Kanika Kapoor to inspire his team. But on set, contestant Sahil was so mesmerized with Kanika that he could not focus on the practise during his piano session. No doubt, any young lad would get bowled over by the amiable personality of Kanika.

Kanika mesmerised all with her generosity and talent, she connected with each one and shared some valuable advice with the budding talents.

This was not the only surprise coach Mika Singh had for his team members. He brought on set, an indulgence of Punjabi cuisine for his team. The feast proved to be fitting treat of some delicious Punjabi food that was enjoyed by all.

Actress Kriti Sanon unveils Trident Ltd.’s latest Bath & Home Linen Collection campaign

Trident Limited, one of the leading players in the home textile category, today revealed a vibrant multimedia campaign for the new Bath & Home Linen collection at HGH India, the annual trade show for Home Textiles, Home Décor, Gifts & Houseware at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. Unveiling the fresh and dynamic visuals of “The Affair to Remember” campaign was the new face of the Trident Group, the beautiful & vivacious actress Kriti Sanon along with Mr. Rajinder Gupta, Chairman, Trident Group & Mr. Rajneesh Bhatia, CEO India Marketing, Trident Group.

Krishan Hooda’s >Rebellious Flower< goes to SIFF 2015, Italy

Rebellious Flower directed by Krishan Hooda gets official selection at 12th Salento International Film Festival. The very first biopic on Rajneesh Osho is said to have a European Premiere and will be a closing night film. The festival will be held in Tricase, Italy from 5th September to 13th September 2015. Salento International Film Festival celebrates real independent films around the world and Rebellious Flower will be representing India.

Krishan Hooda’s Rebellious Flower will be competing El Ganzo (USA/Mexico), Day Release (Spain), Chess Game (Brazil), Coffin Maker (Philippines), John Od God The Movie, Sin & Silly Still Alive (Austria/Germany) Off Target (Switzerland) La Scultura (Italy) and Ludo (Farods Island) amongst others.

Hrithik Roshan, A. R. Rahman & India’s Largest FM Radio Station 92.7 BIG FM partner with Radio Everyone

Indian film superstar Hrithik Roshan (Dhoom 2, Bang Bang, Krrish) and music maestro A. R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire) are the first two Indian personalities confirmed to take over radio airwaves this September as they join Radio Everyone, the lynchpin of a plan to reach 7 billion people in 7 days.  Using radio, the world’s most accessible medium, Radio Everyone will shine a spotlight on the UN’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development, a series of ambitious targets to completely end extreme poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change for everyone by 2030.

Rhea Chakraborty Set to Kick Ass with Krav Maga!

Rhea Chakraborty, the talented young actress, who works long hours on shoots or assignments, has once faced a threat to her safety close to home. In an interview to a tabloid, she recalled how a stranger had groped her in the elevator of her society building in broad daylight, despite it being guarded. Therefore, to gain strength and more importantly, to build her self defence, Rhea is training in Krav Maga.

You need to quickly assess a situation and modify whatever you have into a potential weapon. Your mind needs to be sharp, so it can match the blows the body will receive to the blow you will deliver," she says. "Might I add that this translates to improved stress-management skills in the real world," she adds.
