Desperate to carve a new image of Chambal region, the 7th Chambal International Film Festival, the first film festival of the Chambal Valley and the ravines, is gradually gaining popularity among filmmakers from India and abroad, making its place in the film making society. This is one of the foremost reasons that the seventh edition of Chambal International Film Festival to be held in Dholpur, has received a staggering total of 184 films in various categories from 32 countries including India, Taiwan, America, Britain, Vietnam, Egypt, Australia, Iran, Spain, Portugal, Serbia & Turkey. These include feature films, short films, documentaries, web series and mobile films.
The organizer of Chambal International Film Festival, Dr. Shah Alam Rana said that the jury members have officially selected 103 films after a thorough review of all the films. Some of the best and selected films from these will be showcased and screened during the two-day film festival.
This year's jury comprises five eminent personalities across the globe that include Dr. Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, who is famous as a concerned journalist and a global award-winning writer-director. Her short film 'Saare Sapne Apne Hain' based on child labour, hope and happiness won over 128 awards and was screened in over 150 national and international film festivals. she is followed by another renowned celebrity Manya Pathak on the jury who is not only a popular actress Manya Pathak but is an acclaimed entrepreneur as well. She has acted in Zee TV's reality show 'Delhi Darlings', 'Acid Attack' along with music videos 'Tauba Meri Tauba', 'Yeh Raaste' and many others. Her short film 'Pratyantar' has been in the running in the 2022 Cannes and has received awards and accolades across the globe. These two are supported by Albania-based film director, writer and lecturer Valmir Tertini. His films have been part of hundreds of film festivals around the world. He has received 19 international and 3 national awards. He teaches film and mass communication at the University of Tirana, as well as writes frequently for films and TV and for newspapers in Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia. He also has to his credit Four books that have been published.
Another international name in the jury is of the renowned Azerbaijan film maker Jalaluddin Gasimov. He is the author of 6 historical novels and award-winning writer, producer and director of films like 'Scholler's Archive', 'Execution Day', 'The First Success of Nobel Brothers' and 'Stalin's Dark Past'. His first film 'Scholler's Archive' is based on a true story. It was not only very successful at international film festivals, but also won the most awards and achievements that any film from Azerbaijan has ever had on the international stage. His film 'Sholler's Archive' has even received a certificate from US Congressman Jimmy Gomez.
The Jury Chairman this year is writer and director Prof. Dr. Mohan Das, who is also the Festival Chairman of Chambal International Film Festival. He is associated with dozens of film festivals around the world not only as Member of Jury, but also as Festival Director & Chairman. He has been working tirelessly to provide opportunities for talented filmmakers and artistes at multiple global platforms to promote Indian cinema, art, culture and science.

Set to commence shoot in mid-September on a 45-day shooting schedule
across Uttar Pradesh, after Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, director Apoorv Singh
Karki will direct 'Bhaiyaaji' that will explore emotions like standing for your
family & vengeance for the wrongs done towards your own. The captivating
narrative and the grungy world in this film is penned by Deepak Kingrani, who
will also bring back the dialogue baazi of 70s and 80s Hindi Cinema.

Awards 2023:
The Entry should be primarily created in the Hindi Language and should
be deemed as an original piece of work, released on an OTT Platform between
August 1, 2022, and July 31, 2023.
A fee of Rs. 18,000 including GST would be charged for each entry that
is submitted.
The participation fee must be paid in advance, along with the entry.
Participation will be considered only upon realization of the participation fee
by WWM.
All OTT platforms, as well as production houses, are welcome to send
their entries.
All entries submitted by the production house should be approved by the
OTT platform on which the show is hosted.
The responsibility of getting the entries approved by the platform
completely rests with the production house.
Interested OTT platforms and production houses must submit their
entries via email with the online Entry Form and Payment Reference ID on or
before September 15, 2023.

comedy "Thank You for Coming" was unveiled today as an official
selection at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2023. Selected
for its grand special world premiere at the TIFF 2023 at Roy Thomson Hall on
15th September 2023, ‘Thank You for Coming’ is the only Hindi feature film to
have a special premiere at TIFF this year!
To be released in cinemas worldwide on 6th October 2023, ‘Thank You for
Coming’ is the story of Kanika Kapoor, a lonely thirty-year-old girl who is in
search of true love and happiness. Directed by Karan Boolani and written by
Radhika Anand and Prashasti Singh, the film stars Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaz Gill,
Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila, Shibani Bedi, Pradhumna Singh Mall, Natasha Rastogi,

Believed to be a dream project for Dulquer Salmaan, the trailer of King
of Kotha starring Dulquer Salmaan has been dropped across all languages. The
actor, known for his chocolate boy persona in the films, is all set to break
his image with his upcoming projects. While Shah Rukh Khan released the Hindi trailer,
actor Suriya Sivakumar unveiled the trailer in Tamil.
A Malayalam period drama directed by debutant filmmaker Abhilash Joshiy
and backed by Wayfarer Films and Zee Studios, the film also features Aishwarya
Lekshmi, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Nyla Usha and Chemban
Vinod Jose in prominent roles. The trailer that was released by Shah Rukh Khan
(Hindi), Mohanlal (Malayalam), Suriya (Tamil) and Nagarjuna (Telugu) has left

Shah Rukh Khan who released the trailer in Hindi tweeted sent a big hug

spearheaded by Vidyut Jamwal, Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Commando franchise moves to
the OTT space with a brand-new series. It focuses on a soldier named Virat
(Prem), who leads an extraction mission to rescue an Indian spy from Pakistan
and must neutralise the threat of a potential bio-war. He is also joined by cop
Bhavna Reddy (Adah Sharma reprising her role from the films) on this mission.
The series also stars Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Shreya Singh Chaudhry, Amit Sial,
Mukesh Chhabra and Ishteyak Khan.
The Jengaburu Curse / SonyLIV This
climate-fiction thriller series has been making quite the buzz with its
trailer. Set in Odisha, the story revolves around a London-based financial
analyst Priya Das whose quest is to find out the reason behind her father who
goes missing under unforeseen circumstances. The show sheds light on the
undeterred greed of mankind and its impact on nature.
The Kashmir Files: Unreported / ZEE5 The
Kashmir Files: Unreported is a documentary series helmed by filmmaker Vivek
Agnihotri. The series claims to investigate the history of the Kashmir conflict
based on data gathered during the making of the feature film The Kashmir Files.
aimed to shed light on the lesser-known aspects of the exodus of Kashmiri
Hindus from Kashmir as well as provide an understanding of social complexities
of the region, it also examines the impact of the conflict on the lives of
ordinary people living in Kashmir. The documentary series takes viewers through
the troubled past of the Kashmir Valley, exploring the events that led to the
dispute between India and Pakistan over the region.
Moving / Disney+ Hotstar Disney+
has finally released its much-anticipated live-action K-drama adaptation of the
popular South Korean webtoon Moving, which was created by the talented writer
Kang Full. A superhero Korean show, the story takes place in modern-day Korea
and follows three teenagers who have been concealing their superpowers while
living with their parents who themselves have lived with painful secrets and
faced great danger over generations. They choose to hide their abilities from
the world in order to protect their loved ones. The cast includes some of the
most well-known actors in the industry, such as Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo,
and Zo In-sung.
Nikhoj / Hoichoi Directed
by Ayan Chakraborti, Nikhoj - an Hoichoi original web series in Bengali
language, the mystery thriller revolves around the fearless and bold DCP Brinda
Basu (Swastika Mukherjee) as she embarks on an unwavering mission to find her
daughter who has gone missing after attending a party with her friends. Adding
to the intrigue, revered journalist Romit Sen (Tota Roy Choudhury) is
discovered in a confused state within a blood-stained vehicle. Desperate to
track down the person behind her daughter's disappearance, Ramit Sen becomes
the primary suspect. Amidst the truth and lies, will Brinda be able to get back
her daughter fighting against the odds is the crux of the story.
Maaveeran / Prime Video Maaveeran introduces us to a timid cartoonist whose life takes an unexpected turn. He starts hearing the voice of his comic strip character, Maaveeran, a fearless warrior. This newfound courage compels him to stand up for his people, leading to a transformational journey filled with challenges and personal growth. Marry My Dead Body / Netflix Transcending the boundaries of death and sexuality, Marry My Dead Body
is a Taiwanese film that chronicles the adventures of a straight police
officer, Ming-Han, who comes across a red wedding envelope. Things take a
curious turn when the owner of the envelope turns out to be the ghost of a gay
man, Mao-Mao, who is now bound to the cop as his husband. Eventually, they form
an unlikely bond as they apprehend the man responsible for Mao-Mao’s death.
Abar Proloy / ZEE5 Filmmaker
Raj Chakrabarty makes his OTT debut with the action thriller series Abar Proloy
- a Bengali crime thriller web series. Saswata Chatterjee reprises his role as
special crime branch officer Animesh Datta in the series that also features
Paran Bandopadhyay, Koushani Mukherjee, Ritwick Chakraborty, Gaurav
Chakraborty, Sohini Sengupta and June Malia in pivotal roles. A spin-off of the
2013 film Proloy, the story of ‘Abar Proloy’ is set in the Sundarban forest in
West Bengal, where a group of teenage boys manipulate young girls and women by
luring them into a trap of love. The gang subsequently traffics the women to
other states, leading to a surge in women trafficking. Special Crime Branch
officer Animesh Datta is on a mission to catch the mastermind of a girl child
trafficking racket in Sunderban. Will he be able to track down the culprit
before more young girls disappear forms the crux of the story.
Only Murders in the Building / Disney+ Hotstar With a history of successfully unravelling two murder mysteries
within their building Upper West Side, the trio of Charles (Steve Martin),
Mabel (Selena Gomez) and Oliver (Martin Short) return to pursue more murder
mysteries in the third season. This time, Oliver’s theatrical production takes
a startling turn as the male lead drops dead onstage on the premiere night.
Red, White & Royal Blue / Amazon Prime Video Based on the bestselling eponymous novel by Casey McQuiston, Red,
White & Royal Blue revolves around Alex Claremont-Diaz, son of the
president of the United States, and Britain’s Prince Henry whose long-running
feud threatens to drive a wedge in U.S./British relations. When the rivals are
forced into a staged truce, their icy relationship begins to thaw and the
friction between them sparks in a romantic entanglement that is something
deeper than they ever expected. Yet, given the spotlight on their public

Zombieverse / Netflix A group
of unsuspecting participants gather together for a dating show and find
themselves thrown into a terrifying scenario of a zombie apocalypse in this
reality series. The show chronicles the journey of 10 individuals from diverse
backgrounds as they confront various challenges in order to save themselves
from the undead. The casts are mostly famous entertainers in Korea and is close
to or pretty similar to “The Great Escape (Korean show)” but with added storylines
and a zombie theme to make the audience more immersed to the series.

Ranveer Singh steps into SRK's shoes as he says “Main hoon Don.” With Don 3, director
Farhan Akhtar is all set to redefine the boundaries of storytelling once again,
and this time he has confirmed Ranvir Singh to play the new Don. With his
magnetic presence, Ranveer is ready to step into the new interpretation of this
larger-than-life character, Don as the teaser and first look was dropped this morning
introducing him to the franchise and its loyal fans.
Sharing the teaser, Farhan wrote, “A New Era Begins #Don3.” The teaser
begins with Ranveer sitting with his back to the camera in a high-rise
building. He's wearing leather jacket; leather boots and smokes a cigarette
before facing the camera and introducing himself as Don. Before unveiling
himself, an impactful voiceover is heard saying, “Sher jo so raha hai vo
jagega kab, poochte hai ye sab. Unse kah do ki jaag utha hoon main.” We further
hear, “Kya hai taakat meri, kya hai himmat meri phir dikhane ko. Maut se khelna
zindagi hai meri, jeetna hi mera kaam hai. Tum to ho jante, jo mera naam hai.
11 mulko ki police dhundti hai mujhe par pakad paya hai mujhko kaun.” At this
point, we finally get to see Ranveer Singh's face as he says the famous line from Don, “Main Hoon Don.”
The rage of Don started in 1978 with Amitabh Bachchan playing the lead
along with Zeenat Aman in the original film written by Farhan Akhtar’s father
Javed Akhtar along with his then creative partner Salim Khan, the father of
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. When Excel Entertainment thought of remaking this
iconic film, they roped in Shahrukh Khan who continued in the two-part action
franchise. With the iconic 'Don' franchise set to make a grand return, Ranveer
Singh has been officially crowned as the new 'Don' in the highly anticipated
'Don 3'.
Taking to his Instagram handle on Tuesday, Farhan shared a note hinting
at a new era of Don. The note read, “It was 1978 when the nation witnessed the
rage of Don for the first time with superstar Mr Amitabh Bachchan playing the
lead. While the first film continues to hold its charm, Excel Entertainment is

Actor, Producer & Director, Superstar Ajay Devgn graced the unveiling
of the trailer of the highly-anticipated Gujarati comedy film “Hu Ane Tu” at an
event in Mumbai. Present at the event were the stellar cast of the film including
Siddharth Randeria, Sonaalee Lele Desai, Puja Joshi and Parikshit Tamaliya, director
Manan Sagar and producers Kumar Mangat Pathak and Ishaan Randeria.
Directed by Manan Sagar with the creative brilliance of writer Vinod
Sarvaiya, the film that is a family entertainer tells the story of a father and
son who wish to get married. The two have also chosen their respective life
partners and plan to get married in the same mandap to cut costs. However, a
series of obstacles keep them away from tying the knot and living happily ever
after with their life partners.
After watching the trailer, Ajay Devgn, renowned for his powerful
performances expressed his delight at the film's narrative architecture. Devgn
said, “With humour, there is also family emotions and that’s very nice in the
trailer. Humour holds immense power, and when it's coupled with the infusion of
family emotions, the outcome is truly remarkable.”
Ajay Devgn also shared the trailer of the film on his X handle that

Production, Hu ane Tu is slated to release in cinemas on 30th August. “We are
trying to showcase this Gujarati film well not only in India but overseas as
well. This is an initiative to take Gujarati cinema to the world,” informed
Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak.
After captivating audiences in Bollywood films such as “SatyaPrem Ki
Katha” veteran actor Siddharth Randeria known for films like “Bachubhai,” “Gujjubhai
the Great” and “Chaal Jeevi Laiye” is coming up with this delightful comedy
film “Hu Ane Tu”. Speaking on the occasion, Siddharth Randeria said, “We are
thankful to Panorama Studios to come on board. Kumar ji agreed to produce the
film in just 7 minutes. We are thankful to Ajay ji that he came here to unveil
the trailer.”
