The Bachchan family including Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya, are all set to be seen in a new movie along with Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Viveik Oberoi. Wondering if this news is all true and whether such a casting coup is really (im) possible, well here it goes. All these characters will be brought together in the Abhishek-Aishwarya inspired love story “Kuch Na Kuch To Baat Hai” to be played by actors on screen.
Inspired by the Bachchan family, filmmaker Satya Prakash Mangtani is readying to start shoot of his new film that is based on the Abhi-Ash saga revolving around real life characters based on Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Viveik Oberoi. This small budget film will star South actor Manie cast in the role of Abhishek. It goes without saying that Sneha Ullal has been chosen to play Aishwarya who was coincidentally found by none other than Salman Khan. The film will go on floors soon in a start-finish-schedule.
Though Kumar says that in no way is he trying to tarnish the Bachchan clan’s image in this film, but the fact of Aishwarya’s involvement with Salman and Viveik might not go down too well with the Bachchan’s who so consciously avoid the topic. However Mangtani is unperturbed as he says, “I have already written to Amitabh, asking for his permission, and am ready to show him the script before it goes on floors.”
As a filmmaker or an artiste, the private life has always appealed to the audiences. In fact, Amitabh Jaya starrer Abhimaan by Hrishikesh Mukherjee was based on the life of singer Kishore Kumar and his first wife, Ruma Guhathakurta - singer Amit Kumar's mom. Whether “Kuch Na Kuch To Baat Hai” will see the light of the day and the Bachchan family won’t raise objections is a matter of serious thought. “I have not projected the family in a cheap manner. I want to convey to the audience that one should not accept manglik or non-manglik beliefs. I have also created an element of suspense at the end of the film,” shares Kumar.
