Very little is known about the next offering from the powerhouse
creators of "Veere Di Wedding", Ekta R Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor. Their upcoming
comedy "Thank You for Coming" was unveiled today as an official
selection at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2023. Selected
for its grand special world premiere at the TIFF 2023 at Roy Thomson Hall on
15th September 2023, ‘Thank You for Coming’ is the only Hindi feature film to
have a special premiere at TIFF this year!
To be released in cinemas worldwide on 6th October 2023, ‘Thank You for
Coming’ is the story of Kanika Kapoor, a lonely thirty-year-old girl who is in
search of true love and happiness. Directed by Karan Boolani and written by
Radhika Anand and Prashasti Singh, the film stars Bhumi Pednekar, Shehnaz Gill,
Dolly Singh, Kusha Kapila, Shibani Bedi, Pradhumna Singh Mall, Natasha Rastogi,
Gauthik, Sushant Divgikar, Saloni Daini, Dolly Ahluwalia, Karan Kundrra and
Anil Kapoor make special appearances.
Talking about the same, Rhea Kapoor said, “This film is for this generation
and we are very honoured to have the world premiere of our film at TIFF 2023.
Even with its different story and adventurous approach, the film is a great
Bollywood entertainer, full of fun and music, so it makes this selection all
the more sweet! This is a film that I am very proud of and we could not have
asked for a better start. I've had the opportunity to work with the most
talented group of girls who have put all their energy into making this film,
and we can't wait for the world to see what we've created.”
