Entertainment has released a short film “Ghar” on its content platform, Blush.
This ‘Blush Orignals’ short film is written and directed by Sreejone with Shreya
Gupto and Karan Jotwani in the leads with a memorable performance once again by
Domino’s Dadi Padmini Sardesai.
Ghar is about Diya and Rehan, an unmarried couple who are in a
complicated point in their life where they are caught between Diya's desire to
adopt and Rehan's practicality, making us rethink the judgements that our
society passes on the different stages of life. As their story unfolds, a
surprising twist reveals something completely unexpected, reminding us of the
universal need for love, care, and a place to call home.
This 9 min 30 sec film will take you through an emotional yet inspiring
emotion with purity and subtlety with the aim to think beyond. Depicting an unusual
storyline of an unmarried couple having different perspective on adoption, it further
emphasises on breaking the stereotypical judgment set by the society and
contemplating about the repercussions on making the unusual life choices.
Sreejone has managed to deliver a power packed film that breaks the
stereotypical judgment set by the society on adoption. Good screenplay, simple
yet effective dialogues, and compelling storytelling not only wins hearts, but
is sure to take the message across that elder adoption is also a possibility to
bring a change in someone’s lives instead of letting them languish in old age
homes where their own have abandoned them. An amazing short film that blends the
director’s vision and dedication to her craft and ability to bring authenticity
to the characters, it is coupled with stellar performances by Dominos’ dadi Padmini
Sardesai, Shreya Gupto and Karan Jotwani. Both the lead actors Karan and Shreya
have managed to breeze through the film. Striking a chord with viewers, it’s such
