The MAMI authorities have announced that
vivacious superstar Sridevi will light the ceremonial lamp to mark the
auspicious occasion on October 18, 2012 at the opening ceremony of the city’s
most eagerly awaited cultural event, the 14th Mumbai Film Festival, presented by
Reliance Entertainment and American Express and organized by the Mumbai Academy
of Moving Image.
After the ceremonial lighting of the lamp,
the film festival will showcase critically acclaimed comedy-drama film “Silver
Linings Playbook” that will also have its India premiere. The event will also
witness the presence of stars such as Anupam Kher, Anil Kapoor, Javed Akhtar,
Jaya Bachchan, Atul Aghnihotri, Sriram Raghvan, Anees Bazmi, Anubhav Sinha,
Ranvir Shorey, Sanjay Suri, Abhinay Deo and several others
