After the massive debacle of Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, there
have been rumours that the actor will work on serious projects and won’t be
doing any home productions with newcomers in future. Reportedly, Salman Khan
and Sooraj Barjatya are planning to team up once again. The movie, apparently
titled Prem Ki Shaadi, will begin production the following month and will
release on Diwali next year.
When the plot of the movie was narrated to Salman Khan in 2020 after the
lockdown, he reportedly thought it was brilliant. A recent report suggests that
a nuclear family is supposedly the focus of Prem Ki Shaadi. The movie is also about
a couple’s journey from their marriage to becoming old together. Now, if it’s a
story about a couple, the female lead will surely be having a good role, and
Sooraj Barjatya always has a fantastic role for his heroines. While its being
speculated who will get to feature opposite Salman Khan in the movie, it seems
the movie's starring actress has not yet been chosen by the producers. However,
according to an IMDB page of the film, Parineeti Chopra and Kriti Kharbanda has
been listed alongside Salman Khan.
It might be interesting to note that this will be Salman and Sooraj’s
fifth collaboration. The duo has earlier worked together on Maine Pyaar Kiya,
Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hai and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in which all
his characters were named Prem. The pre-production for the film began last
month and its speculated that the first schedule of the film will reportedly go
on floors next month in Mumbai.
Currently, Salman is seen on the latest season of Bigg Boss OTT on Jio
Cinema. Apart from this, Salman will next be seen in Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif
and Emraan Hashmi. He also has Siddharth Anand’s Tiger Vs Pathaan in his pipeline.
