Creating controversy to draw audiences??

After Prakash Jha’s “Arakshan” created controversy with a demand to stop release, it is now the time for Ram Gopal Varma’s “Not A Love Story” which is supposedly based on the Neeraj Grover Murder case.  It seems Ram Gopal Varma and producer Sunil Bohra has been served a legal notice by both the accused in the case- Maria Susairaj as well as Jerome Matthews asking them to stop release of their film as they feel that they have been projected in a negative light.

The notice sent by Jerome says that he has ample evidence that the film is based on the Neeraj Grover murder case that took place on 7th May 2008 and if released, will hamper the image of his family as well as his appeal against the judgment making the case subjudice. The notice also asks to remove all publicity material within 24 hours and the release of the film be stopped, failing which, Ramu will have to face severe legal action.  However, producer Sunil Bohra insists that his film is a fictional one and is wondering why Maria and now Jerome have sent them legal notices.

Even we at our end are wondering coz the same story was shown on Sony Television’s “Crime Patrol” where Anup Soni featured the case as a fictionalized story. If they could attempt and show it as a fiction, why single out the guys from Bollywood? Not A Love Story is being released on August 19 at theatres all over.. Go watch it..
