The 15th New York Indian Film
Festival, to be held from May 3-9, 2015 is calling for entries. Films that have
not been/will not be publicly screened or premiered in New York or the
Tri-State Area prior to NYIFF 2015, and meet the following criteria, will be
considered.
DIASPORA CINEMA: Films that feature the work of filmmakers, actors,
writers, directors of South Asian descent living outside the sub continent.
This may include films made by Non-South Asians that feature significant South
Asian content, inspiration, subject matter.
INDEPENDENT CINEMA: Films whose country of origin lies within the
Indian Subcontinent: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal,
Afghanistan, Bhutan.
