Back in 2015, Amit trivedi was
signed on to work for directorial debutante Nitya Mehra's Baar Baar Dekho. Due to creative difference and time issues, he
reportedly opted out of the movie. Soon after Azeem Dayani, music supervisor of
Dharma Productions, recommended Amaal Mallik to Director Nitya Mehra, who
worked out a track for the sequence pictured on Katrina Kaif and Siddharth
Malhotra.
Amaal has composed a honeymoon
sequence track called 'Sau Asmaan' pictured on Katrina Kaif and Sidharth
Malhotra romancing each other. The couple have finished shooting the song which
was beautifully rendered by Armaan Malik and Neeti Mohan for the track, with
lyrics by Kumaar.
Feeling grateful on working for
Baar Baar Dekho, Amaal Mallik comments , "Being my first film with Nitya Mehra
and Excel, It was great fun working with Director Nitya Mehra, a girl who is
debuting herself and yet has invested so much trust in me.' Adding to that,'She
made me forgot about what other people were feeling or asking me to do. She
gave me a free hand and asked me to come up with a song that I would like to
make."
When asked Nitya about Amaal's composition,
she says: “This is my personal favorite track in the album and the entire crew
went crazy shooting it ! We fell in love with song soon after me and Amaal
tried out so many ideas, so that it's also a big promotional number. It is my
first time with Amaal and it has been a smooth ride.”
