Matt Damon returns to his most iconic role with Jason Bourne

For all Bourne fans out there, Universal Pictures has some great news to share. After nearly a decade, Matt Damon returns to his most iconic role with Jason Bourne. The fourth instalment of the Bourne franchise, Jason Bourne is set to release in India on 5th August, 2016 in 3D and 2D. The film will be translated in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu for Bourne fans across the country. To restore the same excitement as Matt Damon’s previous film in the series, Bourne Ultimatum, director Paul Greengrass (Bourne Supremacy, Bourne Ultimatum) joins Damon in the new chapter of the franchise.

Several years after his disappearance at the conclusion of The Bourne Ultimatum, Jason Bourne unexpectedly resurfaces at a time when the world is faced with unprecedented instability. At the same time, a new program has been created to draw CIA’s most lethal former operative out of the shadows and hunt him down while he is still trying to find all the answers to his past and family.

For Jason Bourne, Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones, while Julia Stiles reprises her role in the series.  Based on characters created by Robert Ludlum, the film is written by Greengrass and Christopher Rouse. Jason Bourne is produced by Frank Marshall alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment. Director Paul Greengrass, Matt Damon, Gregory Goodman and Ben Smith also act as the producers of the film.

Talking about Matt Damon’s return as Jason Bourne, producer Gregory Goodman said, “Matt makes Bourne very relatable as an ‘everyman,’ this protagonist who has found his way into this situation and is struggling to find his truth…a balance in who he is.  Additionally, I believe the film’s grittiness and realness stand in contrast to other films in this genre, and that will make people feel like they’re watching something with more gravity.”

Jason Bourne is set to release in India on 5th August, 2016 in 3D and 2D and will be released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
