Hrithik Roshan surprised his fans with the first look from Fighter

The much awaited first look of Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Fighter’ was released today by none other than Hrithik Roshan himself! Hrithik took to social media and dropped the first look of his upcoming film in the uniform of a pilot. After posting the first look, Hrithik Roshan captioned it stating, “#Fighter #25Jan2024 #7MonthsToFighter”. The film will be released on January 25 next year (2024). No sooner did Hrithik uploaded a picture of himself to Instagram, the comments section on his social media started overflowing with like and comments that praised Hrithik’s pilot avatar.

Resting his hand on a fighter jet while wearing a uniform, Hrithik turned to face the camera while gazing at the plane. He added the hashtags “Fighter,” “25 January 2024,” and “7 months to Fighter” but did not include a caption. While Anil Kapoor responded to the tweet by posting the emoji of a raised fist, Sanjeeda Shaikh and Zoya Akhtar used the red heart emoji. Pashmina Roshan posted fire emojis to the same. Hrithik’s fans and supporters also applauded the look. A fan exclaimed, “Let’s go, cheer for the Indian superhero, Hrithik Roshan.” “I can’t wait,” another fan wrote. Loading in seven months for Goosebumps. “Excitedly anticipating the explosion. Who else is psyched about Fighter?” another fan enquired. “I can’t wait,” another fan wrote.

Same time, quite a section of netizens was not quite happy with the first look. They called Fighter look 'sasta Top Gun'. Yes, the look from Siddharth Anand’s film is compared to Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick by viewers. “Top Gun copy, typical Bollywood behaviour,” someone wrote to which someone enquired, “Top Gun remake? “The comment said, “Sasta (cheap) top gun.” Same time another person questioned, “Top Gun Maverick ka Indian version hai kya (is it the Indian version of Top Gun Maverick)?”

In October 2022, Hrithik had shared a poster on Instagram and wrote: “25th January 2024- see you at the theatres! #Fighter,” he had said as the caption for the post. Hrithik revealed a trailer for Fighter on Instagram in January 2021. “It is a privilege for me as an actor to introduce and participate in Mamta and Sid Anand’s first production, #Fighter for Marflix, he had written. This one is important because it strengthens my relationship with a director and friend whose journey from serving as an AD on my sets to directing me in Bang Bang and War is one, I have witnessed.”

He also added, "And now as he turns producer for Fighter, I can’t seem to contain my excitement. This one is pure adrenaline for the heart and mind. So here goes boom. Thank you, Sid, for believing in me and making me your co-passenger yet again. Here’s to your journey toward the sky!”

Touted as ‘India’s first-ever aerial action franchise’, this will be the first time that Hrithik and Deepika are sharing the screen. Fighter will hit the theatres on January 25, 2024.
