An adaptation of the superhit British series, The Night Manager is a
superb one with a stellar cast that includes Aditya Roy Kapur and Anil Kapoor

suspense, and top-notch cinematography, this one follows an ex-soldier turned secret
agent, Shaan Sengupta, who must enter and infiltrate the network of an arms
dealer in an attempt to bring him down from his throne of the vast gangster
empire.
Afwaah / Netflix
Sudhir Mishra is once again behind the camera with this political
thriller, Afwaah, which stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar. Though
the film didn’t make waves at the Box Office, it might find some good audiences
as it releases on Netflix. This Bollywood thriller revolves around how a viral
rumour on social media can wreak havoc for people in real life, especially
focusing on an advertising professional and an heiress of a political empire.

Lakadbaggha / Zee5
Another fun movie to release this week is Lakadbaggha on Zee5. Directed
by Victor Mukherjee, this crime action-comedy flick stars Anshuman Jha, Riddhi
Dogra, and Paresh Pahuja in lead roles. Based in Kolkata, the story revolves
around an eager animal vigilante, who uncovers an illegal animal trading racket
in his city. This racket involves the Lakadbaggha or Indian Striped Hyena,
which is an extremely endangered species. He must do everything in his might to
take on the powerful and bring the captured animals to justice.
Sergeant / Jio Cinema
If you love crime thrillers, this is the one for you this weekend. Catch
Randeep Hooda back in action with Sergeant on Jio Cinema this week. This crime
thriller revolves around a detective working in the UK who becomes obsessed
enough to solve the toughest of cases. Naturally, he is bound to encounter some
dangerous people who even threaten to take his life. But his determination is
what allows him to keep going in search of tougher, more complex murder cases.

If you are done with a crime thriller, here is a spy thriller. A Telugu-language
action spy film directed by Surender Reddy, Agent showcases a spy who has a
mysterious past and is on a mission to uncover the truth about a dangerous
terrorist organisation. It stars Akhil Akkineni in the lead role, along with
Mammootty, Dino Morea, Sakshi Vaidya, and Vikramjeet Virk.
Jack Ryan / Amazon Prime Video
One of the most popular shows on Prime Video of all time, Jack Ryan back
for yet another season. Promising to be bigger and better than before, the
series follows an iconic CIA analyst, portrayed by Krasinski, as he battles
terrorists and tackles global threats of various kinds. With intense action,
complex geopolitics, and a captivating storyline, this show keeps viewers on
the edge of their seats.
Hijack / Apple TV+
Apple TV+ has been producing some of the best original series we have
seen in the last few months, and June 2023 is no different. Hijack is a
big-budget action thriller with Idris Elba on a regular flight from Dubai to
London that gets hijacked. Hundreds of passengers are stuck on this 7-hour-long
flight as authorities on the ground struggle to figure out an escape plan.
The Witcher / Netflix
One of the biggest Netflix original series of all time, The Witcher, now
in its third season is based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s books around the same
character. The Geralt of Rivia comes to life in this dark fantasy adventure
show filled with some of the most epic battles, complex characters, and a world
filled with prejudice. Plus, you also get to see some breathtaking visuals and
