Aa Te Kevi Dunniya writer-director Tejas Padiaa gets film's idea at Mumbai's Kandivali station

We have heard stories of creative people getting ideas at the most unlikeliest of places and writer-director Tejas Padiaa is no exception. The filmmaker thought of the film's core idea while standing at Mumbai's Kandivali station.

Reveals the filmmaker, "Around two years ago, I was standing outside Kandivali station and waiting for a rickshaw. Failing to get one, I stood at a corner for about 45 minutes and was observing people. I started wondering that these people leave early in the morning and return in the evening, eat and then go to sleep. They lead such boring lives only for money. So then I thought what if there was no money and if your currency was good deeds. I wrote this idea casually and almost forgot about it."

He continues, "Then after a year, I was again standing at Kandivali station when I again remembered the idea. My team was actually about to finalise a different script at that time but eventually ended up selecting this one. I started writing the script and it took me 6-8 months to finish it."

According to the filmmaker, Aa Te Kevi Dunniya is more than just entertainment. "The film is fully entertaining but it also has a nuanced message in a very non-preachy way. I haven't forced anything. The people will decide themselves what they want to take away from the film."

Produced by Vijay Khatri under the banner of Bhagat Entertainment, Gujarati film Aa Te Kevi Dunniya continues to create the right buzz as it is all set to release on 9th January, 2015 and stars Raj Jatania, Yatin Parmar, Kinjal Pandya, Sunil Vishrani, Jayesh More, Krishna Rawal, RajKumar Kanojia, Falguni Desai, Padmesh Pandit and Sanat Vyas.
