Farhan Azmi who successfully manages popular restaurants
like Koyla, Chai Coffi and Cafe Basilico is not the only one in the family with
hospitality expertise. His sister Rushda Azmi Shaikh (4th out of his 5 sisters)
has also ventured into restaurant business. On 30th December, 2014 with the
opening of a cafe cum patisserie called Sugar Rush located on Carter's road,
Bandra. A small cute outlet is a haven for every coffee and dessert lover.
Rushda said, “My love for desserts and bakery originated from our in-house
bakery- Bakers Vault and I always wanted to start something of my own." A
graduate in Hotel Management topped with bakery diploma from Sophia's, Sugar
Rush is Rushda's brain child. However she doesn't shy away from saying,"
It would not have been possible without my brother Farhan."
So it seems that hospitality business skills runs in the
family!
