Kya Dilli Kya Lahore to open 5th Jagran Film Festival at Lucknow: Actor Director Vijay Raaz to attend

The 5th Jagran Film Festival, the only travelling film festival in India which kick-started in Delhi on 5th July, 2014 is now scheduled to travel to Lucknow on 18th July, 2014. Keeping the promise to take cinema across 16 cities, the festival will unveil its collection in Lucknow at Fun Cinema’s -Fun Republic, Gometi Nagar from 18th July, 2014 to 20th July, 2014. 

The opening film at 5th Jagran Film Festival, Lucknow is Kya Dilli Kya Lahore. Director and Actor Vijay Raaz will inaugurate and mark the beginning of 5th Jagran Film Festival in Lucknow. The movies to be screened at the festival are Joy and Sorrow of the Body director by Andreas Partzis (Greek), Manjunath by director Sandeep Varma, Bandini directed by Bimal Roy, Takao Dancer directed by Wenshing Ho, The Trial of Joan of Arc directed by Robert Bresson and Madras Café directed by Shoojit Sircar.

During the three days apart from showcasing Indian and International cinema, an integral part of the festival is the Master Class. The master class sessions are where directors take you through the journey of film making and the art of making cinema.  The 1st panel discussion is on “Acting for Films” in conversation with Vijay Raaz and Vinod Aupam on 19th July,2014 at 11.00 am and the second discussion is on Biopic Cinema is on 19th July, 2014 at 2.00 pm.

The Jagran Film Festival is unique in its way of organization. The festival begins in New Delhi and then travels to 14 other cities of India before reaching Mumbai, where the grand finale takes place with almost a week of screenings of all the sections and the awards ceremony. It’s the longest running film festival of the country, covering almost three months and crisscrossing across seven states of India.
