English play ‘Blame It On Yashraj’ celebrates its Golden Jubilee this weekend!

Ashvin Gidwani Productions (AGP) will complete a milestone this weekend with its popular English play ‘Blame It On Yashraj’ staging its 50th show in Mumbai on August 24, 2014 at Sophia Auditorium. Post the grand success of this hilarious play in Singapore last week, it has returned to the City of Dreams to celebrate the Golden Jubilee. This landmark event signifies the love and adoration that the show has received from fans since its inception.

‘Blame It On Yashraj’ has received a glorious recommendation from theatre enthusiasts flocking to watch every show. The fan base of this play also includes well known personalities who themselves have a huge fan following. Veteran actress Asha Parekh who was mightily impressed, complemented “Fabulous play!” Popular Bollywood actress and dancer Helen praised it whole heartedly and said, “Never laughed so much in all my life!” Actress Waheeda Rehman had a wonderful time watching the show and said, “Splendid theatre, really enjoyed every minute”. Producer and Director of blockbuster films, Priyadarshan gushed, “It was a laugh riot!”

Even people known to have an amazing comic timing themselves have been all praises for it and were seen having a good time. Versatile actor and funny man Javed Jaffery was seen rolling with laughter at the show and said, “Uproariously funny!” South superstar Kamal Hassan “Thoroughly enjoyed it” and the ever chirpy Juhi Chawla also couldn’t stop from expressing her delight and said, “Very interesting, wittily written & great performances!”

The glory of the play however, is not restricted to India. Even the international audience rolls with laughter when the cast performs. Held in Singapore on 17th August, the show of ‘Blame It On Yashraj’ was super-hit! Audience loved their hilarious take on the highly dramatic concept of Indian weddings. Cast of ‘Blame It on Yashraj’ happily posed with their fans and expressed their desire to come back to the theatre loving audiences of Singapore. Venue was brightly lit and resounded with laughter as the crowd gave a standing ovation to the cast.After a tremendous response in Singapore, actors are now charged up for destination Mumbai where the team of ‘Blame it on Yashraj’, in their usual crazy avatars promises an evening to remember.
