Delhiites tops the game bringing the Bengal Warriors down

In a stunning turn of events, Dabang Delhi thrashed visitors Bengal Warriors 46-36, much to the exhilaration of Delhi’s roaring audience at Thyagraj Stadium in Delhi. With this match, Dabang Delhi sailed four positions up to secure the 4th spot on team standings of Pro Kabaddi League.

While Adake stole hearts with his daring raids, Surjeet Narwal and Ravinder Singh assisted in decimating Bengal Warriors to secure two all outs and bring Dabang Delhi up to a healthy 27-11 lead at the end of first half. Despite acceding two all outs towards the end of an exciting game, Dabang Delhi had already scored their third all out in the second half when Dabang Delhi’s defense piled onto Bengal Warrior’s star raider Jang Kun Lee during his second do-or-die attempt. With this, Dabang Delhi cruised into a comfortable 34-12 which eventually swelled into a whopping 46-36 victory at the end of last night’s game. To the delight of Delhiites Dabang Delhi came good to expectations.

Dabang Delhi Coach Arjun Singh believes his team gained from previous defeat at hands of Bengal Warriors. “The previous match against Bengal Warriors helped us pick up on their style and execute a stronger game plan this time. This victory has boosted the team’s morale, and we will only get better,” said the proud coach.

The Delhi franchise owner Radha Kapoor exuded confidence on the team’s performance for the remainder of the tournament saying, “our team has the potential to take the competition to the finish line. The win against Bengal will go a long way in reassuring the players of their abilities.”

Dabang Delhi will take on Patna Pirates in Patna at Patliputra Stadium on Saturday, August 9, 2014. Dabang Delhi was given a standing ovation at the end of their previous match versus Patna despite being defeated 36-31. The team is all geared up to play their second match against the Patna Pirates.
