A unique fusion of Bhangra and
hip hop conceptualized by first of its kind dance crew by the name of ‘Urban
Singh Crew (USC)’, has captivated the audience on national television. The crew
has successfully danced its way to the finals and is amongst the top 6 finalists
on the show.
Urban Singh Crew, with its unique
fusion and style has got the judges of the show and the celebrity judges
enthralled with their entertaining and energy packed performances. Under Judge
cum celebrity choreographer Punit’s team, USC has each time outperformed their
previous performance. Speaking on the occasion,
Sahaj Singh, Founder and
Choreographer, Urban Singh Crew, said, “Our aim was to present a dance form
that sprouts from our tradition and merges with the world we live in today.
Urban Singh Crew is a dance symphony of the east meeting the west; it is a
fusion of Hip-Hop and Bhangra dance form and we are delighted to be the first
and only crew in the world with this concept. We hope to entertain the audience
with the novelty in our choreography. The support that we have received in such
a short span is overwhelming and is testimony of our passion and the love of
our audience. ”
With filmstars like Jaqueline
Fernandes, Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan praising and comparing their performances
to the level of Thriller by Michael Jackson, Sahaj further adds, ‘Dance Plus 2
isn’t just a platform, it’s a breathing space for aspiring artists like us to
come out and explore their creative limits. We are elated to be selected
amongst the top 6 finalists and hope to continue our journey to the finals.”
