Big B launches Deepti Naval’s book - The Mad Tibetan

Acclaimed actor, poet, painter and photographer Deepti Naval's new book The Mad Tibetan - Stories From Then and Now' was launched by Amitabh Bachchan at a suburban five-star in Mumbai. 'The Mad Tibetan' which is a collection of short stories and is said to be based on her personal experiences, not only displays her prolific talent as a writer put also as a painter. Each story begins with one of her paintings and carries a visual and emotional impact.

Amitabh Bachchan, who launched the book, admitted that he had not yet read the book but was looking forward to it. He posted on his blog, “In an age and generation when all reading is confined to the net and the mobile phone, it is a pleasure to be invited for the release of a book. And so I go and release it. I am not adequately prepared for it, for I have not read the book - my time constraints do not allow it. If I am the chief guest for the book release, I should ideally have done so. That is my regret.”

Prasoon Joshi, Vishal and Rekha Bhardwaj, Prakash Jha, Lalita and Kalpana Lajmi, Anup Soni, Juhi Babbar, Vinay Pathak, Deepa Sahi, Ketan Mehta, Govind Nihalani and Zarina Wahab also graced the book launch.
